Linebacker Darrian Beavers didn’t want the Cincinnati Bearcats to allow a single rushing yard against Memphis on Saturday.
That sounded unlikely with the Bearcats facing one of the 20 best offenses in college football. But with 90 seconds left, the Bearcats had allowed -4 rushing yards.
No. 7 UC (5-0) beat Memphis (3-2), the defending conference champions, 49-10 on Saturday at Nippert Stadium. In the process, the Bearcats played a nearly perfect football game for the second consecutive week.
