After a week off, the University of Cincinnati men's basketball team's four-game winning streak came to a screeching halt on Sunday.
The Bearcats fell 90-52 at No. 6/5 (Associated Press/Coaches) Houston. It was Cincinnati's first loss since returning from a 25-day layoff due to COVID-19 protocols and most lopsided defeat since March 10, 2011 (89-51 loss against Notre Dame).
Jeremiah Davenport led the Bearcats (7-8, 5-5 AAC).with 11 points, while freshman Tari Eason added 10 points and five rebounds. Fellow freshman Mike Saunders Jr. scored six points, including his first made 3-pointer of his career, before fouling out.
