With slightly over a month until March Madness begins, the University of Cincinnati may be trending in the right direction. Tuesday night, they handed SMU a 65-43 defeat in front of 11,221 at Fifth Third Arena. This after the Mustangs had just knocked off No. 20 Memphis over the weekend.
The Bearcats also got a season-high 28 points and nine rebounds from Jarron Cumberland. His previous high of 23 points came in November vs. Illinois State.
Keith Williams added 13 points and Chris Vogt had nine points and eight rebounds. The Bearcats outrebounded the Mustangs 38-28 and outshot them 48.
