PHILADELPHIA – Cincinnati basketball senior Jarron Cumberland was named the American Athletic Conference preseason Player of the Year, the league announced Monday.
Cumberland flirted with entering the NBA after averaging 18.8 points per game and winning AAC Player of the Year last season.
Memphis and Houston were voted by the league's coaches as preseason favorites to win the 2019-20 AAC title. Cincinnati received the third-most votes in the poll.
