Cincinnati basketball coach John Brannen talks Jay Sorolla's departure Cincinnati Enquirer
STORRS, Connecticut – Cincinnati basketball came up short Sunday in its final trip to UConn for an American Athletic Conference meeting.
The Bearcats fell in overtime 72-71 to the Huskies, snapping their winning streak at five and stumbling in the race to win the AAC.
In familiar, dramatic fashion, this time UC could not recover from a late-game deficit.
The Huskies outscored the Bearcats 5-4 in the extra period, and star Jarron Cumberland missed a driving attempt for the win with three seconds remaining and did not get a shot off before the buzzer on the final possession.
