ST. THOMAS, U.S. Virgin Islands – Cincinnati basketball will be without star Jarron Cumberland Monday for the second time in four games.
The senior guard will not play against Valparaiso in the Paradise Jam third-place game after having foot and ankle issues Sunday in the loss to Bowling Green, UC confirmed before tipoff.
"Jarron got beat up pretty good this game," said Bearcats' coach John Brannen. "His ankle and his foot. He told me his foot really flared up at halftime, so I thought it was really bothering him in the second half and once we took him out and we built the lead, if you remember we got an 11-point lead, we would have tried to come back to him.
