ST. THOMAS, U.S. Virgin Islands – Cincinnati basketball left paradise on a good note.
The Bearcats used a 16-0 run midway through the second half Monday to erase a deficit and withstood another late collapse in regulation to outlast Valaparaiso in overtime 81-77 in the Paradise Jam third-place contest.
Bearcats' freshman Mika Adams-Woods scored a career-high 10 points off the bench, all in the second half and overtime, including the go-ahead bucket with 52 seconds to play.
UC junior center Chris Vogt scored in double figures for the fifth straight game, posting 21 points on 9 of 11 shooting and seven rebounds.
