Cincinnati basketball star Jarron Cumberland will not play Thursday against Alabama A&M for an undisclosed reason, a UC spokesperson told The Enquirer.
Bearcats' coach John Brannen plans to address the topic following the game.
The reigning AAC Player of the Year, Cumberland is averaged 12 points, two rebounds and two assists in UC's first two games. He missed most of summer workouts and a portion of fall practices due to a lingering foot injury, but the 6-foot-6, combo guard logged 33 minutes last week in the season-opening loss at Ohio State and made 3-of-4 3-point attempts Monday in the Drake victory.
