Cincinnati basketball’s case for an NCAA Tournament at-large bid continues to build.
The Bearcats overcame a second-half double-digit deficit Saturday, defeating No. 21 Houston 64-62 in front of a sold-out crowd of 21,189 at Fifth Third Arena.
The victory moved UC (14-7, 7-2) into a tie with the Cougars (17-5, 7-2) for the top spot in the American Athletic Conference and continued the Bearcats four-game winning streak and push for a ticket to the Big Dance.
Bearcats' senior star Jarron Cumberland scored 17 points on 5-for-12 shooting and posted seven assists while logging all but about four minutes of game time.
