The Las Vegas Review-Journal is reporting that after a day of visiting UNLV, no deal has been struck between the school and Mick Cronin.
UNLV officials and Cincinnati basketball coach Mick Cronin met Wednesday regarding the vacant Rebels job, but no agreement was reached.
Rebels athletic director Tina Kunzer-Murphy said in a text message she had “no news to report,” and a source close to the situation said no developments would occur Wednesday. Cincinnati Enquirer reporter Tom Groeschen tweeted that a source said there was “zero happening.”
That’s obviously the best news Cincinnati fans could possibly hear and certainly backs up my theory that he’s posturing for more support from the higher ups at UC.
