Cincinnati basketball falls 76-71 on the road at Tulane

NEW ORLEANS – Cincinnati basketball is still waiting for the first true road victory of the John Brannen era.

The Bearcats led by as many as 11 before halftime, but a strong second-half performance by Teshaun Hightower helped push Tulane to a 76-71 victory Saturday.

Hightower finished with 21 points, including notching 16 in the final 20 minutes to help erase the Bearcats' 39-32 halftime advantage.

Junior center Chris Vogt paced the Bearcats with a career-high 21 points, and junior guard Keith Williams added 18 points and six rebounds.

Cincinnati (8-6, 1-1) dropped previous road contests at Ohio State and Xavier.
