Despite the loss to the Iowa State Cyclones last Tuesday night, it didn’t really hurt the Bearcats in the polls. Cincinnati clocked in at 22nd in the AP Poll, the exact same slot as last week, and fell just two spots to 23rd in the Coaches Poll.
That makes pretty reasonable sense considering the Bearcats have beaten every team worse than them on the schedule in terms of RPI, aside from George Washington, and have lost to higher ranked opponents. But what’s impressive to me is the fact that most of the teams in top 25 have two losses or less.
