The Cincinnati Bearcats are a nine seed in the 2016 NCAA Tournament and will face the eight seed Saint Joseph’s Hawks of the Atlantic 10 on Friday in Spokane, Washington. We’ll get to more of UC’s opening round opponent and this game overall in the coming days but first here’s a quick overview of Saint Joe’s.
The Hawks went 27-7 this past season but it could be argued that they needed the Atlantic 10 Tournament to improve their chances at having their name called on Selection Sunday. They weren’t coming in on a wing and a prayer but were somewhat reliant on their conference tournament to secure a bid.
