ORLANDO – Mick Cronin's University of Cincinnati Bearcats couldn’t pull off another come from behind win on the road Thursday as Central Florida held on for a 58-55 victory at CFE Arena. It’s just UCF’s second win ever over the Bearcats.
Down 10 at one point in the first half and eight at the half, UC never could regain the lead in the second half, but tied the game several times, the last being with 1:30 remaining on a Jarron Cumberland runner. BJ Taylor would get the Knights back out front by four 57-53 before Cumberland cut it to a bucket with :13 left.
