When University of Cincinnati defensive lineman Cortez Broughton came to the interview room after the Bearcats 42-0 shutout of Navy Nov. 3, he brought along a hand-written depth chart of the UC scout team.
That team featured several unsung heroes and one in an unlikely position. Redshirt freshman linebacker Kyle Bolden out of Colerain, was the scout team quarterback. The son of Cardinals coach Tom Bolden was drafted because of his extensive knowledge of the Navy offense, the hard-to-defend triple option.
