Bearcats Take Down WCU for Second Win in as Many Days

On a warm Wednesday night at Marge Schott Field, the Cincinnati Bearcats were able to overcome a loud first inning from Western Carolina to run away with a win.

As was predicted in our preview of the game, A.J. Olasz got the start for the Bearcats. The lefthander got off to a shaky start on the night, giving up three runs in the first inning, as well as one in the fourth, an inning he would not get out of. He threw 62 pitches in only 3 2/3 innings of work before being replaced by reliever Reese Robinson.
