Believe it or not, the Cincinnati Bearcats are still very much mathematically capable of winning the AAC Championship. Yep, not necessarily as a result of UC beating the Tulsa Golden Hurricane on Saturday. That certainly was a factor. You have to win games to even have a hope at getting some hardware at the end of the season.
But the event that truly shook up the AAC standings was South Florida’s thumping of Temple at home in what many consider Willie Taggart’s last ditch attempt to save his job, as the Bulls are now bowl eligible for the first time in five years.
