The Cincinnati Bearcats 2015-16 basketball season kicks off tonight (sort of) as they take on Grand Valley State in exhibition play, their first of two this year. UC will then host Bellarmine on Saturday the 7th before beginning their regular season with Western Carolina the following Friday the 13th (gasp!).
But for now, let’s focus on the Lakers, a team the Bearcats should handle fairly easily.
Normally in the days and hours leading up to a game we break down the opponent and look for weaknesses Cincinnati should try to exploit. Not so for exhibition play, which is nothing more than a glorified practice and the coaches, while Mick Cronin probably won’t admit it unlike Tommy Tuberville, playing Grand Valley State is more about the Bearcats than the Lakers.
