The Cincinnati Bearcats baseball team again struggled to score runs in its first game of the 2016 AAC Tournament, as the Houston Cougars built a 4-1 lead through six, then hammered UC’s bullpen to turn the game into a 9-1 blowout. UC’s Conner Wong had two hits, including the Bearcats’ only RBI in the 5th inning, and UC starting pitcher A.J. Olasz was chased with one out in the sixth after allowing 4 earned runs on five hits, two walks, and a hit batsman. Houston kept the heat on, touching three different UC relievers with runs during the 8th and 9th innings.
