Led by a strong showing from their pitching staff and some timely hitting, the Cincinnati Bearcats posted a 6-1 victory over the Indiana Hoosiers in a midweek game of baseball at Marge Schott Stadium.
A.J. Olasz made his first start and appearance for UC (3-4) and did OK, throwing three innings while allowing only two hits and a single run. However, it was the pitchers who came next that really shut the Hoosiers down. Sophomore right-hander Clayton Colvin twirled a brilliant four innings of relief, allowing no runs and only one hit and two walks. Jarod Yoakam and Reese Robinson each added a scoreless inning of relief to close out the victory.
