Analysis: With new lineup, Cincinnati Bearcats rout Western Carolina

New lineup, similar blowout.

The No. 12 University of Cincinnati Bearcats throttled Western Carolina 102-51 on Monday night at Northern Kentucky University's BB&T Arena, in another predictable destruction of a mid-major program.

UC (2-0) routed Savannah State 107-77 in its opener last week.

Sophomore guard Jarron Cumberland (Wilmington High School) led UC with 20 points. Junior guard Cane Broome scored 15 points, senior forward Kyle Washington had 14 points and seven rebounds, and freshman guard Keith Williams had 10 points for the Bearcats.

Western Carolina (0-2), located in Cullowhee, N.C., was picked to finish ninth in the 10-team Southern Conference in the league's preseason coaches poll.
