Us at Down the Drive were mightily saddened to see that the great Paul Sorvino died yesterday at the age of 82.
Sorvino was one of the most versatile actors of our age. Whether it was Goodfellas or Reds or Law and Order, comedy or drama, television or film, Sorvino always seemed like a three-dimensional figure.
One of my favorite films of his is the Jason Miller play That Championship Season (1982), one of the most underrated ensemble pieces (not to mention sports films) of all time.
