Yoan Moncada is out of Tuesday night’s White Sox lineup against the Nationals at Guaranteed Rate Field. Jose Rondon will replace him at third base.
Rondon took over for Moncada on Monday night after Moncada left in the seventh inning with back tightness.
Before Tuesday’s game, manager Rick Renteria said Moncada had back spasms but he didn’t consider the condition to be significant.
“He’s day to day,” Renteria said. “He’s doing better today. Has a mid-lat/back strain. We’ll continue to monitor him.
