Yoan Moncada, who hit his first big-league home run Wednesday against the Cubs’ Jake Arrieta, is batting cleanup for the White Sox on Friday as they open their three-game series with the Indians at Guaranteed Rate Field.
Moncada, who is ranked as baseball’s top prospect, is batting .111 (3-for-27) with five RBIs and four walks in eight games with the Sox.
The Sox (39-60) have lost 12 of 13 and 15 of their last 17 and have the worst record in the American League.
