The first World Series was held in 1903. The first World Series MVP was awarded in 1955. Since then, only four players have won the award multiple times -- Sandy Koufax (1963 and 1965), Bob Gibson (1964 and 1967), Reggie Jackson (1973 and 1977) and Corey Seager (2020 and 2023).
