Jose Abreu was already having a big night at the plate when he came up in the ninth inning Saturday at Wrigley Field.
The Chicago White Sox first baseman connected on an 0-2 changeup from Duane Underwood Jr. for his third homer of the game. The White Sox in total hit five home runs in the 7-4 victory.
“Right now, I’m just blessed,” Abreu said through an interpreter after the game. “Blessed to be on this team with these teammates and my family.”
He has five home runs in the first two games of the City Series.
