Reynaldo López was outstanding in winning his second game of the season and Daniel Palka’s two-strike, two-out, two-run ninth-inning double gave the White Sox some breathing room in a tight 3–2 contest as the Good Guys outlasted the Red Sox, 5–2, to win the rubber match of the three-game set in Boston.
By virtue of the series win at Fenway Park and the split of the four games vs. the Twins at Target Field, the Sox went 4–3 on the seven-game road swing.
