It’s difficult to pinpoint the highlight of the White Sox’s 2018 100-loss season.
Matt Davidson’s three opening day home runs certainly was the high point on the optimism scale. Any of Adam Engel’s leaping, over-the-wall catches against the Yankees and Indians were GIF-worthy. And Michael Kopech’s debut was a buzz-worthy night, at least before a 56-minute rain delay ended his outing after two innings.
Really the only moment that mattered happened on May 3 at White Sox Park when Trayce Thompson hit a walk-off home run and Sox players gathered at home plate to douse him with liquids.
