While general manager Rick Hahn probably will explain it differently, the only reason that Eloy Jimenez seems unlikely to be promoted in September is so he will be under the Sox’s control through ’25, not merely ’24.
The Sox are remaining mum on the Jimenez decision, putting out a statement Friday saying only that Hahn will discuss the roster decisions Monday.
