This White Sox win came on the heels of a loss on Tuesday night despite Michael Kopech‘s stellar start that was cut short by a rain delay.
Wednesday’s win was due to a big fifth inning where the Sox scored five runs. They were able to keep the lead until the final pitch was thrown. And, they did it without Jose Abreu – who was just placed on the 10-day DL.
Fortunately, the rest of the team had hot bats. Three Sox players hit home runs, Nicky Delmonico hit one in the second, Tim Anderson hit his in the fourth, and Adam Engel knocked one in in the fifth.
