With the release of the roster, the Sox announced the following moves. The team reinstated third baseman Yoan Moncada from the injured list; recalled catcher Zack Collins and pitcher Jimmy Lambert from Triple-A Charlotte; purchased the contracts of infielder Cheslor Cuthbert, outfielder Nicky Delmonico, and pitchers Ross Detwiler and Codi Heuer from Charlotte; designated pitcher Carson Fulmer for assignment; optioned pitcher Ian Hamilton to Charlotte and released infielder Andrew Romine.
The Sox also reassigned pitcher Drew Anderson, outfielder Luis Basabe, pitcher Dane Dunning, outfielder Luis Gonzalez, pitcher Tayron Guerrero, pitcher Tyler Johnson, second baseman Nick Madrigal, catcher Yermin Mercedes and first baseman Andrew Vaughn to the taxi squad in Schaumburg.
