The White Sox recently promoted its top prospect Carson Fulmer on July 15. With the promotion, the Double-A Birmingham Barons pitching rotation was left without one of its starters. Spencer Adams, the White Sox second-round pick in the 2014 draft was promoted to the Barons on July 21 and made his first start with the team on July 23.
Adams, who was starting his second game since suffering an ankle injury on July 7, lasted six innings on July 23. Adams gave up three earned runs against the Montgomery Biscuits through six innings pitched.
