The White Sox received an injury scare this past week when one of its top pitching prospects in Spencer Adams, injured his ankle after delivering a pitch for Single-A Winston-Salem Dash. Adams was pitching against the Myrtle Beach Pelicans on July 7 when his right ankle was injured after he delivered a pitch. Adams will miss 1-2 starts as the Dash expect him to be out 7-10 days after the injury. The 2014 second-round pick was 7-7 this season with a 4.07 ERA for the Dash.
As Adams will recover from his injury, the White Sox 2016 first-round pick made his professional debut last week for the Arizona League White Sox.
