KANSAS CITY, Mo. — While the White Sox are joyful at the major league level thanks to a 2-0 start to the 2018 campaign, there's more injury news down in the minor leagues.
Eloy Jimenez, the team's top-ranked prospect and the No. 4 prospect in the game, suffered a mild strain to his left pectoral muscle while working out at the team's complex in Arizona. He won't participate in baseball activities for a week, and he’s expected back in extended spring games before rejoining Double-A Birmingham.
That doesn't really sound like that big a deal, to be honest, but it's the second time in a little more than a month that Jimenez will be sidelined.
