In an effort to limit their star rookie’s innings in his first full year of work in the majors, the White Sox will skip Carlos Rodon’s next start in the team’s upcoming series against the Oakland Athletics.
Rodon, the No. 3 pick in the 2014 MLB Draft out of NC State, has started to find his groove late in his rookie campaign. In his last six starts, Rodon is 4-2 with a 1.76 ERA, 41 strikeouts and only 15 walks. The southpaw has tossed 125 2/3 innings in 2015, his most since his sophomore year at NC State (132 1/3).
