The White Sox will begin their 2016 season with a four-game series against the Athletics in Oakland, starting with the season opener on April 4, according the schedule released Tuesday by Major League Baseball. It will mark the first time the Sox have opened in Oakland since 1975.
The Sox will return to U.S. Cellular Field for the home opener April 8 against the Indians and will play a three-game series at home before hitting the road again to Minnesota and Tampa Bay.
The Sox and Cubs will meet for back-to-back, two-game series in July in the 2016 City Series.
