Manager Rick Renteria said the White Sox still are "trying to define" where Carson Fulmer fits into the club's future pitching picture.
Fulmer was drafted No. 8 overall in 2015 to be a starter, and the Sox have put him in that role in the minors. He also will make his second start of the season Sunday against the Giants.
But the Sox have used him in relief 10 times in the majors over the last two seasons, and with a stable of promising pitchers working their way up in the minors, there's also a chance he could be moved to the bullpen permanently.
