White Sox Talk Podcast: What to make of Conor Gillaspie's emergence

However, none were factors in the Giants' 3-0 victory over the New York Mets in Thursday's NL Wild Card Game.

The unlikely hero was none other than former White Sox third baseman Conor Gillaspie.

With no outs in the top of ninth inning, Gillaspie deposited a 96-MPH fastball from Mets closer Jeurys Familia over the right field fence for a three-run homer, breaking a scoreless tie.
