When the White Sox selected Carlos Rodon with the third overall pick in the 2014 MLB Draft, the franchise confidence seemed evident in the 22-year-old Southpaw. The young left hander out of North Carolina State received a bonus of $6.582 million. A bonus that was higher than any player in that particular draft.
Since then Rodon has made 54 career appearances at the major league level, with a respectable ERA of 3.90. Now at 24 years of age, Rodon is currently the youngest major league ready pitcher within the organization; an organization currently in a pronounced rebuilding stage.
