The White Sox will play two more games before we can put a bow on the month of August. But for a team that's spent much of the season explaining its frustration over the growing pains of the ongoing rebuilding effort, August has been a very positive month.
The win-loss record alone speaks volumes, the White Sox 16-11 in August after Wednesday night's win over the New York Yankees in the Bronx. They're also in a tie for third place in the American League Central standings, the first time they haven't been in fourth or fifth since April 16.
