Just two days ago the White Sox’s moribund lineup looked to be revealing their true identity as a rebuilding club. But Monday found them demolishing the Royals bullpen in a 12-1 romp at Guaranteed Rate Field.
A significant difference might be designated hitter Matt Davidson, who came into the game with a strikeout rate near 50 percent, one walk all season, and apparently Wonderboy in his bat rack.
Davidson was back in the lineup to face a left-hander after four games off, he greeted Kansas City starter Jason Vargas with his fourth home run of the season in the second inning.
