The White Sox will be adding pitching depth for this upcoming season with the signing of Ervin Santana to a minor league deal. Santana’s signing will be pending a physical and was first reported by Dave Williams (whitesoxdave) of Barstool Sports.
Santana will have an invite to Spring Training and compete for a starting pitching role for this upcoming season. The 36-year-old pitcher last pitched for the Minnesota Twins in 2018 but only made five starts due to a finger injury. He would compile an 8.03 ERA over his five starts.
Before last season, Santana was an All-Star with the Twins in 2017 and finished that year with a 16-8 record, 3.
