The White Sox placed right-handed pitcher Michael Ynoa on the 10-day disabled list with a right hip flexor strain before Saturday's game against the Tigers.
Ynoa was injured in Friday's 15-5 loss to the Tigers. The Sox recalled right-hander Brad Goldberg from Triple-A Charlotte to fill Ynoa's spot in the bullpen.
Goldberg, 27, is 2-1 with a 1.99 ERA, four saves and 22 strikeouts over 17 appearances with Charlotte this season. He has pitched 10 1/3 straight scoreless innings over his last eight outings, limiting opponents to a .167 average with 11 strikeouts.
