White Sox fans have been in a frenzy this past week. After reports of the Sox offering Manny Machado an eight-year deal surfaced, many fans began to dream of their favorite team signing a superstar free agent.
However, on Monday there were other reports that indicated the Sox did not increase their offer to Machado from seven to eight years. On Monday evening, yet another reported on Machado was released but it didn’t offer much of an update.
Michael J. Duarte tweeted on Monday that Machado was heavily leaning towards signing with the Sox according to a rival MLB executive.
