The Chicago White Sox have seemingly been rumored to be interested in any and every player this offseason. While the team has been interested in signing either of the top two free agents, an interesting rumor links the Sox as interested in trading for another designated hitter.
Jon Morrosi of MLB Network mentioned the Sox being one of a few teams interested in trading for Edwin Encarnacion of the Seattle Mariners. Encarnacion was traded to the Mariners as part of a three-team trade this offseason that included the Cleveland Indians and Tampa Bay Rays.
