The White Sox recalled right-handed reliever Michael Ynoa from Triple-A Charlotte before Tuesday’s game against the Tigers at U.S. Cellular Fied.
Ynoa takes the place of right-hander Tyler Danish, who was optioned to Charlotte following Monday’s 10-9, 12-inning victory over the Tigers.
Ynoa, 24, has gone 1-3 with a 3.90 ERA over 21 minor-league appearances this year, including a 4.56 ERA with 12 walks and 20 strikeouts in 18 appearances with Charlotte. He was called up to the Sox for the first time on April 10 but didn’t pitch.
Danish allowed two runs on six hits over 1 2/3 innings in three appearances with the Sox.
