With “full” control over both Smith and Meidroth, whose service-time clocks started in 2025 and 2026, such immediate success bodes nicely for the foundation the White Sox are trying to build. As for rental-arm Martín Pérez, well, perhaps he’ll bring us a future Smith or Meidroth at the trade deadline.
