The White Sox and Rays went into their second rain delay Wednesday night in the bottom of the third inning of a scoreless game at U.S. Cellular Field.
After a 21-minute delay before the start of the game, the teams made it through 2 ½ innings before the rain became too heavy to play through.
The Sox announced that the rain was expected for another 45 minutes to an hour, and they would re-evaluate then.
Sox right-hander Miguel Gonzalez gave up one hit over three scoreless innings to open the game.
