First-round draft pick Nick Madrigal and outfield prospect Luis Robert are among 20 non-roster invites to White Sox spring training camp.
Madrigal, the No. 4 pick in the 2018 draft, hit .303 (47-155) in 43 games last year with only five strikeouts and began his career with 72 plate appearances without a strikeout.
Robert, rated the No. 5 prospect in the Sox system by Baseball America, made a brief appearance in camp last year before being sidelined with a broken left thumb. Despite suffering the injury in a spring training game, he hit a grand slam.
