White Sox: Prospects biggest hurdle is staying healthy

White Sox prospect Jimenez suffered his injury during Sunday’s Charlotte Knights game.

He seemed to be hobbling a little as he went down the line after his second at-bat. He has been diagnosed with a strained left abductor muscle. This is commonly referred to as a pulled groin muscle.

Seeing time on the DL

The Sox have put him on the seven-day DL. This would seem to indicate that it’s just a minor strain. However, these types of injuries can linger and sometimes worsen if not treated properly. Usually, a fair amount of rest is required.
